Jenney started in 1812 selling whale oil, kerosene, and coal — gasoline wasn't even a category yet. Stephen Jenney founded the company in Boston, and it stayed in family hands for generations, shifting into petroleum by the 1850s and into automobile gasoline once cars gave the family business a reason to.

Set of 4 cork-backed coasters, 3.75" x 3.75" square. High-gloss printed MDF top, natural cork base protects surfaces. Vintage Jenney Hy-Power emblem printed in full color.

By the 1920s Jenney ran its own stations across New England and was genuinely known as "Boston's Own" — a hometown brand in the truest sense, until the company merged into Cities Service in 1965 and the Jenney name was replaced by Citgo for good.

The perfect gift for petroliana collectors tracking New England oil history, Boston natives with a soft spot for local brands, classic car enthusiasts, and housewarming gifts.

The Faded Label Co. — keeping the golden age of American roadside art alive, one product at a time.
