Montana Chief traces back to a refinery most people outside Spokane never heard of. Inland Empire Refineries, Inc. built its plant in Hillyard, just north of Spokane, in 1938, running on Cut Bank, Montana crude.

Sturdy T-bottom zip pouch that stands upright on its own. Available in Small and Large, with Black or White zipper. Vintage Montana Chief emblem printed front and center — great for a bag, desk, or bathroom counter.

Inland Empire didn't sell one gasoline, it sold a family of them — Washington Chief locally, Idaho Chief and Oregon Chief across the state lines. Wasatch Oil merged into Phillips Petroleum in 1949.

The perfect gift for petroliana collectors tracking Pacific Northwest and Montana oil history, and anyone who wants a genuinely useful everyday pouch with a real story behind it.

The Faded Label Co. — keeping the golden age of American roadside art alive, one product at a time.
